Hike, run, walk or bike as many miles as you can for Africa. No minimum miles required and no donation required. Just love for Africa required.
You can do your miles on a mountain or a trail, the street, or inside at the mall if it’s too cold out where you are – or even indoors on the treadmill. A love offering for our service to the less fortunate in Africa will be taken, though – free will offering, as you are able. It’s ok if you are not able. Many of the ways to donate are listed at the bottom of this post, including Venmo.
Please participate in ANY way that you can.Β
Please add me on fitbit as a friend if you have fitbit. We can track each other and I can invite you to the Hike for Africa group on there.
The goal of the Everett and Austin Project, Inc. is to improve the health-related quality of life for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other rare diseases, and increase educational opportunities for individuals and families in developing countries. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that causes progressive muscle weakness, leading to disability, impaired function, and decreased ability to participate in daily activities.
Children in developing countries are often underserved, neglected, and/or abandoned by their parents. Some families live in remote areas with little to no access to medical and healthcare resources. Additionally, impoverished individuals and families struggle to meet their daily basic needs due to lack of much needed resources. The Everett and Austin Project seeks to educate, empower, and equip individuals with products, services, and skills to improve overall quality of life and sustainable living in developing countries.

I'm a born-again christian, sold out to serving the needs of the less fortunate and in Sub-Saharan Africa. I founded The Everett and Austin Project in October 2018 to honor my 2 boys posthumously by helping people living in poverty going thru Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other rare diseases. My sons each died of Duchenne, Austin in 2012 at age 16 and Everett in 2017 at age 22.
So amazing work all put together. Let’s hike on this valentine to make a special day for those in Africa.
Bless all those that will hike and donate to this cause.
Indeed! So nice to meet you and thank you SO MUCH for wanting to work with us. We have been wanting to expand and do more in Nigeria. I hope you will become a very powerful leader for us there. God is with us! ππͺπΎπͺπΌβ€οΈ
