The local event in Peekskill NY will meet in Depew Park at 8:00 am on July 27, 2019. Multiple courses will be mapped out through Blue Mountain Reservation. There will be a 2 mile course, 5 mile course, 10 mile course and a 15 mile course.

For those who cannot attend in Peekskill, you can participate in whatever city or state or country that you are in. Choose the hike or walk that you would like to accomplish and let us know!

Fundraising pledge sheets are available at the links below. You can seek pledges from family and friends for each mile that you complete. For example, $2 per mile hiked or walked. All fundraising profits will go to The Everett and Austin Project to help build this relief organization.

The Everett and Austin Project’s aim is to be a loving support and service to those people in third world countries that are struggling with quality of life issues for children suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Please participate in any way that you feel like you can. You can feel free to walk instead of “hike” as your fundraiser as well. No need to actually “hike.”

Here is are a couple of documents to help you publicize and obtain pledges for the cause. Thank you!

By Tim Gillen

I'm a born-again christian, sold out to serving the needs of the less fortunate and in Sub-Saharan Africa. I founded The Everett and Austin Project in October 2018 to honor my 2 boys posthumously by helping people living in poverty going thru Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other rare diseases. My sons each died of Duchenne, Austin in 2012 at age 16 and Everett in 2017 at age 22.
