Midsummer Mobilization March
Thanks to getting some form of Lyme Disease and being in the hospital for most of the first week of July I had time to think and pray over what Hike for Africa 2 is supposed to be. Hike for Africa 2 is now more of a group project!
I want to see more participation like we had on Valentine’s Day this year for Hike for Africa Valentine Lovefest 2021. We had so many good people participating by hiking, walking, running and biking. It was amazing.
I have created a YouTube channel for Hike for Africa now, with all of the participant videos that have been submitted. Join us this time, you can do it wherever you are. A walk around the block counts. Whatever your exercise app or phone says you did.
Let’s add up all miles done on August 7, 2021 and see if we can’t reach 1000 miles as a group in one day. Let me know how many miles you did on August 7th and I will add it to the pool. And if you send me a selfie video of your participation, I will upload it to our YouTube channel!
You can get pledgers for your miles and/or make a pledge for a donation yourself. 1 cent per mile is only $10 if we reach 1000 miles as a group.
Here is a handy dandy chart for you to download, print and keep track of your pledgers for your miles – HERE.
What do you think? Pledge, participate or both? Let me know.

The Cause
The goal of the Everett and Austin Project, Inc. is to improve the health-related quality of life for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other rare diseases, and increase educational opportunities for individuals and families in developing countries. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that causes progressive muscle weakness, leading to disability, impaired function, and decreased ability to participate in daily activities.
Children in developing countries are often underserved, neglected, and/or abandoned by their parents. Some families live in remote areas with little to no access to medical and healthcare resources. Additionally, impoverished individuals and families struggle to meet their daily basic needs due to lack of much needed resources. The Everett and Austin Project seeks to educate, empower, and equip individuals with products, services, and skills to improve overall quality of life and sustainable living in developing countries.
Pledge to support a hiker, walker or runner today. You can pledge for yourself, or Tim or someone else you know that is doing Hike for Ducehnne V. You can make a pledge at the pledge form below, or just let your hiker know by message. And you can make your donation payment at any time, including even right now.
